Jimani River

The Jimani River is a river in the southwest of the Dominican Republic. On 24 May 2004, it overran its banks resulting in the death of at least 76 people, with hundreds of people injured and homeless near the city of Jimani http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=5242284/1.
