Jim Marshall (Uk Politician)

Jim Marshall (13 March 1941 - 27 May 2004) was a British Labour Party politician. He served as leader of Leicester City Council in the early 1970s, and was elected member of Parliament for Leicester South in 1974. He lost the seat in 1983, by 7 votes, only to regain it in 1987. He continued to hold the seat until his sudden and unexpected death. See also: Leicester South by-election, 2004.
