Jillians

Jillians is a popular bar and restaurant that provides various forms of entertainment, such as billiards, dance, and arcade. Their motto is "Eat! Drink! Play!" In some places, it is very popular with yuppie college students. Jillian's first opened in Boston in July 1988 and coincidentally jumpstarted the billiard themed restaurant industry. Universally recognized as the pioneer and leader of this market segment, Jillian's Entertainment Corporation ("Jillian's") has grown into a formidable national chain. With individual clubs varying in size between 15,000 and 75,000 square feet, each new location features: The Video Caf, with giant screen TVs, and a menu specializing in classic American favorites, The 9-Ball Lounge, with tournament quality billiard tables, The Amazing Games Room with the latest electronic simulation games, Hi Life Lanes, an over the top multi-media bowling alley, as well as other dining and entertainment venues such as dancing. The company has developed a clear demographic profile of the typical Jillian's guest. Approximately 60% male/40% female, more than 90% are in the 21-44 age group. Nearly 65% are single and a majority live within a 20-minute drive of the local unit. Extensive analysis of the existing guest profile has clarified the demographics and geographic requirements for new site selection. As a result, Jillian's maintains plans for continued growth and expansion.
