Jewel And Esk Valley College

Jewel and Esk Valley College is a Further Education College in the Lothians in Scotland. It has two campuses, located at Milton Road in Edinburgh and the Eskbank Centre in Dalkeith, Midlothian. It currently caters for 15,000 students on a full/part time and Open learning basis, along with a specialist facility for blind individuals that is located on the Milton Road campus. It also has a Halls of Residence at the Milton Road Campus, with 240 bedrooms. Jewel and Esk Valley Halls of Residence also provides accommodation for those studying at Edinburgh's Telford College and Stevenson College, located in the Sighthill district of Edinburgh. Additionally, it has adapted bedrooms for the blind individuals who study at the specialist centre. Jewel and Esk Valley College was created in 1984 from the merger of Leith Nautical College and the Eskbank College. Also, Jewel and Esk Valley College has a third 'campus' located in Adlington, but no courses are specifically based at that centre. Howard McKenzie is the current principal at the College.
