jeffery nape

Jeffery Nape is the parliament speaker and former acting governor-general of Papua New Guinea. He took both of these positions on May 28, 2004, when he was elected speaker by the members of the parliament. The speaker then served as the acting governor-general because of a dispute over elections to that position. He left office as governor-general on June 29, 2004, when Paulias Matane was sworn in.
