Jean Erdman

Jean Erdman (born February 20, 1916) is an influential figure in the world of modern dance. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. Her dance career includes dancing with the Martha Graham Dance Company, forming her own dance company, and serving as head of the dance program at New York University. She returned to Honolulu in 1972, where she still lives today.
