Jean De Ligne, Duke Of Aremberg

Jean de Ligne, Duke of Aremberg (15281568) was stadtholder of the Dutch provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel from 1549 until his death. He was killed in the Battle of Heiligerlee, in which he fought an invading army led by Louis of Nassau (brother of William I of Orange).
