Janus Secundus

Janus Secundus (1511-1536), real name Jan Everaerts, was a Dutch humanist and poet. Born in The Hague, he acquired fame as a Neo-Latin poet with a collection of 22 love poems inspired by Catullus, Basia (Kisses, first complete edition 1619).
