Janata Dal (Ajit)

The Janata Dal (Ajit) was a political party in India. It merged with the Indian National Congress in the early 1990s. Its leader, Ajit Singh became a member of the cabinet of the Congress party government of P.V. Narasimha Rao (1991-96). Later Ajit Singh quit the congress and has now formed a new party, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (National People's Party).
