Symbolist painters

Art Nouveau
. He was born in
Java
, and studied in
Delft

Amsterdam
. He developed a style based on a mixture of
Javanese
motifs with
Symbolism
, and his willowy figures and curvilinear designs prefigure Art Nouveau.
