) was the second ruler of
Hyderabad
in
India
under the
Qutb Shahi dynasty
. He ruled from
1543
to
1550
. His father,
Sultan Quli Qutbl Mulk
, had established the dynasty and had become the first
Muslim
to rule a
Telugu
people. Jamsheed killed his father and blinded his brother, the heir to the throne. Jamsheed's son,
Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah
, ran away to
Vijayanagar
. Little is known of Jamsheed's reign, but he is remembered as having been cruel. When he died in 1550, his son returned to
Golconda
and claimed the throne.
