Jacques Ppin

Jacques Ppin is a French chef working in the United States. Born in Bourge-en-Bresse near Lyon, Ppin began cooking in his parents' restaurant. He went on to work in Paris, eventually serving as a personal chef for Charles De Gaulle and two other French heads of state. When he immigrated to the United States, Pepin turned down a job offer at the White House to work as head chef for the Howard Johnson chain of Hotels. Ppin has had several television shows and has written 18 books. He is the Dean of Special Programs at the French Culinary Institute in New York City.
