J.w. Pepper

J.W. Pepper is a fictional Louisiana sheriff, portrayed by Clifton James in two James Bond films: Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun. He is a comic relief character, most memorable for his somewhat bigoted attitudes and his tendency to speak loudly about whatever is on his mind. Some his more memorable lines are, "What are you? some kinda dooms-day machine, or something" speaking about Bond, and "You're not thinkin'" returned by Bond imitating the accent "I sure am boy", just before the famous corkscrew jump in The Man with the Golden Gun.
