Ivao

I.V.A.O., or the International Virtual Aviation Organisation, is an establishment dedicated to providing flight simulator enthusiasts for around the globe with access to servers that allow them to fly online with each other, using real weather and with air traffic control provided by real people. By using software such as IVAP, the IVAO Pilot Client, XSquawkBox or SquawkBox, which broadcast an aircraft's position and speed to the network, while receiving and displaying those of others, to allow pilot access, and programs like MacRadarScope and IVAO's proprietary software, IvAc, for air traffic controllers, IVAO connects people from all round the world to join together in their common love for aviation: IVAO's motto is "As real as it gets". Several similar organizations exist, including VATSIM and FPI.
