Ishpatina Ridge
The
Ishpatina Ridge
is the highest point in the
Canadian
province of
Ontario
. It is 693 metres above
sea level
and is situated about halfway between
Sudbury
and
Kirkland Lake
at the co-ordinates . It is located in
Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park
. The name "Ishpatina" comes from an
Ojibwa language
word meaning "high place".
