Irene Handl

Irene Handl (December 27, 1901November 29, 1987) was an English film actress. She was born in London, the daughter of an Austrian banker father and French mother. She took to acting at the age of 36, and appeared in many British films, including some of the Carry On series. She wrote two successful novels: The Sioux (1965) and The Gold Tipped Phitzer (1966)
