International Railway Of Maine

The International Railway of Maine was a historic railroad operating between Megantic, Quebec and Mattawamkeag, Maine. It was built to connect the Canadian Pacific Railway with the port of Saint John, New Brunswick, with the line opening in 1889, thereby making CPR a truly transcontinental railway.
