International Institute For Tropical Agriculture

The International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is situated in the Nigerian city of Ibadan. It was established in 1967 with the aim of improving food production in the tropics and developing sustainable production. It is part of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). IITA has research stations in Nigeria, Benin, Cameroon, Cte d'Ivoire and Uganda.
