International Astronomical Youth Camp

The International Astronomical Youth Camp (IAYC) is an annual summer camp for young people with an interest in astronomy. Established in 1969, the IAYC has taken place in over 30 different places in Europe, Northern Africa and the Near East. The main goal of this summer camp is, besides having fun in doing astronomy together, to bring people together from different regions of the world by encouraging them to work together and learn more about science and its methods. Since 1969 more than 1500 young astronomers have taken part in the IAYC.
