Interlacustrine

In geography an interlacustrine region is one ringed by lakes. These regions are quite rare in the world and thus it is not a commonly used term. By far the most notable interlacustrine region is that in the centre of the Great Lakes of Africa, and this area is sometimes referred to as simply "the interlacustrine region".
