Inclined Towers

An inclined tower is a tower construction bent against the vertical one. Inclined towers can result unintentionally from uneven dropping of the soil. They can be established however for special requirements also intentionally inclined.

  • anchor pylon of the 380 kV overhead line on the first between Buendnerland and Glarnerland in Switzerland (year of construction: 1961, height: 32 meters, angle of inclination 18 degrees against the vertical one)
