Imogen Stuart

Imogen Stuart (1927 -) is a sculptor. Born in Berlin, she moved to Ireland in 1951. She works in wood, bronze, stone, steel, clay and terracotta. Her best known works are probably the momumental Pope John Paul II in NUI Maynooth and the carved altar in the University College Cork chapel. A professor of sculpture at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin, she is also a member of Aosdna.
