Ilya Berezhnikh

Ilya Avtonomovich Berezhnikh (Бережных Илья Автономович), also known as Berezhnoy (Бережной) (unknown–c. 1830) was a Russian navigator. In 1820, Berezhnikh took part in the northern expedition, led by Ferdinand Petrovich Wrangel. He explored the coastline and the islands of the Arctic Ocean, including the Kotelny Island and Lyakhovsky Islands. Berezhnikh
