Illegal Mind Control

A common theme in both science fiction/fantasy, and also a favourite of conspiracy theorists everywhere, illegal mind control sees the subject forced to commit acts of an often terrible nature, without his or her knowledge, often, and while possessed of no free will. J.D. Salinger's novel The Catcher in the Rye was said to be a device for FBI/CIA mind control at one time.
