Identified Flying Object

right Identified Flying Object is an album by the goa trance project Pleiadians. It was released in 1997 by Dragonfly Records. The name of the album is a wordplay on the term Unidentified flying object. The style of music can be best described as Goa trance, with noticeable inluences from Acid trance and Indian music. All tracks, except "Celaeno" are extremely fast and go up to 145 bpm. There are also no distinguishable voice samples in any tracks. This contributes to a theme of space travel central to the album. The track names correspond to the names of stars in the Pleiades cluster of the constellation Taurus (the cover specifies that the Pleiades are a galaxy, which is incorrect). The cover inset also contains theories regarding space travel, which were most likely influenced by ideas of Erich von Dniken. The album was extremely well received, however due to a limited printing few copies are available today and it has become a collectors item.
