Savoia-Marchetti_SM.79B bomber built under licence in Romania using the Romanian built air cooled 870hp IAR K14 engines instead of the Italian 780hp Alfa Romeo 126. A further upgrade was done in 1942 replacing the IAR K14 engines with 1200hp water cooled Junkers 211 engines increasing the maximum speed 350 km/h to 405 km/h. The new version is known as 'IAR 79B'.
