Geography Hunters Creek Village is located at 29°46'11" North, 95°30'1" West (29.769632, -95.500190). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.0 km² (1.9 mi²). 5.0 km² (1.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 4,374 people, 1,471 households, and 1,291 families residing in the city. The population density is 870.5/km² (2,253.0/mi²). There are 1,523 housing units at an average density of 303.1/km² (784.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 93.37% White, 0.37% African American, 0.14% Native American, 4.80% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.46% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races. 3.59% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,471 households out of which 43.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.9% are married couples living together, 3.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.2% are non-families. 11.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.97 and the average family size is 3.19. In the city the population is spread out with 31.2% under the age of 18, 3.3% from 18 to 24, 19.6% from 25 to 44, 29.9% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 43 years. For every 100 females there are 92.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.4 males. The median income for a household in the city is $171,294, and the median income for a family is $184,574. Males have a median income of $100,000 versus $48,750 for females.
