Hugh L. Dryden

Dr. Hugh L. Dryden served as NASA Deputy Administrator from August 19, 1958 until his death on December 2, 1965. Prior to joining NASA, Dr. Dryden was Associate Director of the National Bureau of Standards (1918 - 1947) and held the position of Director of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), NASA's predecessor, from 1947 until October 1958.
