Howzat!

Howzat! (Also Howzthat with ! or ?) is the cry used by a bowler or fielder in Cricket to appeal to the umpire as to whether give a batsmen out or not. Howzat means "How is that?" asking whether the batsman ought to be out. It is not used for when clear catches (where there is no doubt about the validity of the catch or whether the batsman hit the ball) are taken or for bowled decisions, but for when the dismissal is less obvious (examples include LBW, stumped and run out decisions. Howzat! is also the name of a simple dice-based cricket game.
