Howitt HallOne of 5 Halls of Residence on campus at Monash University Clayton, Howitt Hall is the tallest, standing 12 storeys high. The hall is named after Alfred Howitt a scholar and prominent figure in early Gippsland. The logo of howitt, a camel, comes from the fact that Howitt never lost a camel on his search for Burke and Wills. Howitt Hall is administered by Monash Residential Services, as are Farrer Hall, Deakin Hall, Richardson Hall, Robertson Hall, and Normanby House. Of the 5 halls, Howitt has a reputation for being a compromise between the party lifestyle of Farrer, and the intreverted lifestyle of Deakin. As such, many consider Howitt to be the best hall at Monash. External Links *Official Page
