Howard RockerduckHoward Rockerduck is a fictional character of the Scrooge McDuck universe, the father of John D. Rockerduck. In The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, he was the one who taught Scrooge McDuck to become a prospector. In 1877, when visiting Glasgow, he threw some coins. including the Number One Dime, to some poor children. Although John Rockerduck is an enemy of Scrooge McDuck, Howard is friendly towards him. This is because John Rockerduck was spoiled as a child by his mother, and never lived in poverty because of his rich father. Howard grew up poor and had to work hard to get rich, just like Scrooge.
