House Of Pain

House of Pain was an Irish-American hip-hop group formed by Everlast in 1991 (see 1991 in music), comprised of himself, Danny Boy O'Connor, and DJ Lethal. Their debut single, "Jump Around", was a huge hit. Everlast was originally a member of Ice T's Rhyme Syndicate; he later joined the Soul Assassins to form House of Pain. Notable about the group was how they stressed their Irish roots (although DJ Lethal is actually Latvian). The music was somewhat similar to other music produced by Cypress Hill's DJ Muggs at the time. After three CDs, Everlast left House of Pain and returned to his solo career, continuing to produce both rap and rock music, while DJ Lethal became part of rapcore heroes Limp Bizkit.
