Members meet every Wednesday at 3:30 PM at the Tuggeranong Community Centre, near Lake Tuggeranong College. History Originally the household was started by a school teacher known within the SCA as 'Lady Darby de Askote'. During her classes she would discuss matters regarding the SCA with her students, many of whom expressed an interest. These students, however, found it difficult to join the SCA with their parents' not being interested. Lady Darby has been said to have taken them under her wing. She become the house 'leader'. Lady Darby would ferry her students to 'Arts and Sciences' lessons, where she would discuss things about the SCA with her students. These things could be embroidery techniques or pretend issues of state. The meetings have grown substantially since Anaticula's founding, and Lady Darby's house was no longer appropriate. The meetings were thrown out of a library several times, until they began to meet at the nearby Tuggeranong Community Centre. The house gets its name from the latin for 'little Duck', anaticula -ae. This came from one Lord Alexis (SCA name) commenting on the absence of Lady Darby's childeren: No ducklings with the mother duck tonight? In early 2005, Lady Darby relocated to Brisbane, in Queensland, and the household appointed Lady Elena D'Eath as their leader. See also External links
