Hounds of Love is a 1985 album by Kate Bush. It is regarded as one of her more accessible albums by critics and fans alike. The album was the first she produced herself entirely at her own home studio. The album marked her breakthrough into the American charts with the Top 40 hit "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)". The album also yielded a set of videos, the most famous of which is "Cloudbusting", directed by Julian Doyle, co-starring movie star Donald Sutherland and inspired by the life of psychologist Wilhelm Reich. The second part of the album consists of one long suite, The Ninth Wave. In 1998 Q magazine readers voted Hounds of Love the 48th greatest album of all time. The British band "The Futureheads" made a cover of the "Hounds of Love" song, reaching No. 8 in the UK singles chart in February 2005.
