Horst Mahler

Horst Mahler (born January 23, 1936), lawyer, was the co-founder of the German terrorist organisation Red Army Faction. At the end of the 1990s he changed from left-wing extremism to right-wing extremism. Mahler is today one of the most prominent anti-Semitic agitators in Germany. He defended the German right-wing/neo-Nazi party Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands (NPD) in a trial before the Bundesverfassungsgericht, the highest court in Germany, about the prohibition of the NPD. With Reinhold Oberlecher and Uwe Meenen he belongs to the Deutsches Kolleg (founded 1994), who wants to be a right-wing think tank. The Deutsches Kolleg is profoundly anti-Semitic, and propagates a nationalist revolution in Germany.
