Guest Voice: John Waters as John Synopsis When Bart does a fake lottery stunt using the clothes dryer, Bart destroys it, costing the Simpsons $900. Marge decides she'll sell an old family heirloom to pay for the damage, selling it to a store that sells camp antique items. Homer meets the equally offbeat antique dealer, John, there. He invites John to the Simpsons' house to see the valuable, worthless crap there. Homer says he likes John, until Marge informs him that John is a homosexual, causing a homophobic Homer to say he hates John. However, all the other Simpson family members still hang out with John, especially Bart, who acts effeminately. Homer makes Bart more "manly" by attempting to force him to look at scantily-clad women on a billboard in the middle of a freeway and taking him to a steel mill entirely staffed by gay mill workers that Homer thinks look like "real" men, both of which are met with little success. A desperate Homer insists on taking Bart deer hunting with Moe and Barney, but even that fails as reindeer attack the quartet. John, with Lisa and Marge's help, uses a toy Santa Claus to scare off the reindeer, and save Homer. Homer accepts John and Bart for who they are. Trivia - This episode was an extremely controversial episode. The FOX network was well-flooded with angry letters, but every station still aired the episode as scheduled.
