Fifteen vessels of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS ''Phoenix'', after the legendary phoenix bird.

The first Phoenix was a 20-gun ship purchased in 1546, rebuilt 1558, and sold 1573.
The second Phoenix was a 20-gun ship of 246 tons, launched at Chatham 27 February 1613 and in the records until 1624.
The third Phoenix was a 38-gun ship launched in 1647, in Dutch hands for several months of 1652, and wrecked in 1664.
