Hms Minotaur

Several ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Minotaur after a Greek mythological figure, the Minotaur
  • Minotaur - Sail battleship which fought at the battles of the Nile and Trafalgar.
  • Minotaur (1863) - Ironclad battleship of the Minotaur class, broken up in 1922.
  • Minotaur (1906) - Light cruiser of the Minotaur class, broken up in 1920.
  • HMCS Ontario, a Minotaur class light cruiser launched in 1943 and broken up in 1960, was to serve in the Royal Navy as HMS Minotaur, but was instead transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy as HMCS Ontario upon completion.
