Hms Lizard

HMS Lizard, a ship of the Royal Navy, is named mainly after the lizard. A Combined Operations Landing Craft base, at Shoreham, East Sussex, UK. Commissioned 07 October 1942; Reduced to Care & Maintenance status 21 October 1945; Closed 31 December 1945. Home to 803 LCV(P) Flotilla 1943-44.
