Hms Galatea (1934)

The seventh HMS ''Galatea of the Royal Navy was an Arethusa''-class light cruiser, launched on August 9, 1934 at Scotts shipyard in Greenock, Scotland. She was sunk by a German submarine, U-557 on December 15, 1941 near Alexandria in the Mediterranean Sea with the loss of 470 lives. See HMS Galatea for other ships of this name.
