Fleet, and participated in sea campaigns off
Norway

, RN, was attacked by enemy
German
Ju-87 dive bombers as she evacuated troops from
Namsos
and sank in the
Norwegian Sea
north-west of Namsos in
Norway
on
3 May
1940
with the loss of 100 men, including rescued troops and survivors from the sunken French destroyer
