Hmas Lismore

HMAS Lismore (J-145/B-247/A-121), named for the city of Lismore in New South Wales, was a Bathurst class corvette built by Morts Dock and Engineering at Balmain in New South Wales, launched on 10 August 1940 by Mrs. G. C. Muirhead-Gold, wife of the Commodore-in-Charge Sydney, and commissioned on 25 January 1941. HMAS Lismore paid off on 3 July 1946, was sold the Royal Netherlands Navy and renamed Batjan.
