Bathurst class corvette
built by Poole and Steele at
Balmain

New South Wales
, launched on
16 August
1941
by Mrs. W. McKell, wife of the Premier of New South Wales, and commissioned on
6 April
1942
.
HMAS Geraldton
paid off on
14 June
1946
, was sold to the
Turkish Navy
on
24 August
1946 and renamed
Antalya
.
The second
HMAS Geraldton
is a
Fremantle class patrol boat
laid down by the North Queensland Engineers and Agents at
Cairns
in
Queensland
on
3 May
1982
, launched on
22 October
1983
and commissioned on
10 December
