Hindu Nationalists

Hindu nationalists are an integral part of India. The first organisation of these nationalists was the RSS, founded in 1925. The list of organisations now extends to 40,the major being BJP,VHP Bajrang Dal, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram etc. The political wing is the BJP which ruled India at the Centre for six years from 1998 to 2004 and is now the main opposition party. It also rules six states of Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. It is an alliance partner in Orissa. The Hindu nationalists are great nation builders. They have the aim of uniting the Hindu society which is plagued by casteism, regionalism and passivism about religion. The Hindu society is divided in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh on caste lines. It is badly divided on regional and language grounds in Tamil Nadu,Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala. VHP,BJP and Bajrang Dal are strong organisations. These nation builders have vowed to protect Hindu identity of India which is in danger. RSS is the world's largest organisation, though VHP is an international organisation. Their slogan is "Sangathit Hindu, Samartha Bharat." (United Hindus, strong India).
