Hill College

In several collegiate universities, a group of the colleges are known as the "hill" colleges. In the University of Cambridge, the "hill" colleges are so known because they are located to the North-West of the city centre on the only reasonably-sized hill in the centre of Cambridge, Castle Hill. They are Churchill, Fitzwilliam, Girton and New Hall. In the University of Durham, the colleges situated on Elvet Hill are the "hill" colleges. They are Grey College, Collingwood College, Van Mildert College, St Aidan's College, Trevelyan College, St Mary's College, and Ustinov College. Also, Spring Hill College is sometimes colloquially referred to as "the college on the hill".
