Geography -Baywood Park is located at 37°31'30" North, 122°20'36" West (37.524893, -122.343299). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.7 km² (1.8 mi²). 4.7 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 4,210 people, 1,536 households, and 1,216 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 903.1/km² (2,340.1/mi²). There are 1,548 housing units at an average density of 332.0/km² (860.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 70.55% White, 1.43% African American, 0.38% Native American, 20.26% Asian, 0.24% Pacific Islander, 2.23% from other races, and 4.92% from two or more races. 5.94% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,536 households out of which 30.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.7% are married couples living together, 6.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.8% are non-families. 15.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 2.92. In the CDP the population is spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 24.0% from 25 to 44, 30.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 43 years. For every 100 females there are 101.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.9 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $105,165, and the median income for a family is $119,184. Males have a median income of $85,035 versus $57,813 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $46,584. 2.2% of the population and 1.0% of families are below the poverty line.
