Hidipo Hamutenya

Hidipo Hamutenya (born June 17 1939 in Odibo, Ohangwenya region, Namibia) is a politician from Namibia. He was minister of trade and industry in the government of President Sam Nujoma when during the cabinet reshuffle of August 2002 he became foreign minister. He served in that position until May 2004, when Nujoma dismissed him, reportedly because he challenged Nujoma's favorite nominee for their party's candidacy in presidential elections which will take place later in 2004. Hamutenya's attempt to become a presidential candidate failed later that month. Hamutenya, Hidipo
