Heterophobia
Heterophobia
is
prejudice
or
discrimination
against
heterosexuals
, usually in the context of the heterophobic person being
homosexual
or
bisexual
. The term is a
neologism
coined in the
1980s
, first appearing in print in
1990
, used in analogy to
homophobia
. It does not have much currency outside the field of
sexology
, and limited use even within that field.
