Herston, QueenslandHerston is a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Geography Herston is an inner northern suburb, bounded by the suburbs of Kelvin Grove, Windsor, Bowen Hills, and Spring Hill. Herston is dominated by the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital. The hospital campus is also shared by the Queensland Institute of Medical Research and the Royal Children's Hospital. Demographics Herston is mostly a residential suburb, with some areas of light industry near the main roads. Many of Herston's residents are employed by the Hospital or nearby at the Queensland University of Technology in Kelvin Grove. There is also a significant student population that study at the university.
