Hermit Kingdom

Hermit kingdom is a term applied to any country or society which walls itself off (metaphorically or physically) from the rest of the world. North Korea is frequently described as a hermit kingdom; Tibet, Bhutan and Oman have also been described as hermit kingdoms.
